HELLO!

HELLO EVERYONE!

WOW.  It is so much different being in the field full time! haha.  I love having the whole day to work and be able to focus on the area and on the zone.  This week went pretty well, my new companion is super awesome and we get along super well so that's always a solid +! ha.  But the area is really big with a lot of hills, my last area was all hills so I'm pretty used to that.  But the members here are super cool, the assistance here is around 80 so thats a pretty big difference for me....this is definitely the biggest ward I've been in my whole mission!  By the way, what's the normal assitance in a ward there in Mesa??  Anyway, I'm really enjoying it here and I hope that I will be able to help wherever I am needed!

We had a pretty cool experience yesterday in church during the gospel principles class. We brought a few investigators to church along with a couple of sister missionaries who brought a couple investigators to our ward who came a little late. So we were all in gospel principles class and the teacher didn't show up because he went to Mesa Az!!  But that's a different story.  So we ended up being able to teach the class, and this week it was on REPENTANCE!  My companion and I had no clue that we were going to teach so that was a little bit of a shock, but it was all good because we teach about repentance every single day! haha.  So we started to teach and the lesson was going super well, we had around 20-25 people in the class and every single person was participating and paying attention....even the investigators were participating! haha. Anyway, the sister missionaries were also in the class and they were running late for a food appointment that they had so they told their investogator that they needed to leave and the investigator told them that she didn't want to leave because she felt super good and was really enjoying what she was learning! haha.  The spirit really was so strong during this lesson and I was so glad that we were able to teach with the spirit and help others to feel of the love that our Father in Heaven has for them!  After the class, we all left edified and uplifted and everyone had a smile on their faces, it was a super cool experience that I'll never forget!

Oh, about the teacher who went to Mesa.....Court, do you know a foreign exchange student from Mexico that was going to mountain view named Maelsi?? Her family is in our ward and when they asked me where I was from and told them Mesa....they told me that they had a daughter who was studying there and so I asked her in what high school and she told me mountain view and I couldn't believe it!! haha.  So I wanted to know if you knew her.  Let me know. ha.

And about your questions of the zone. we have 10 companionships in our zone, but that is the biggest of the zones in the whole mission.  We have 3 districts with 20 missionaries, 4 of those being sister missionaries who are all SUPER awesome and work super hard!  This zone is honestly super awesome, along with all the other zones in the mission!  I don't know if I told you this before but the name of the zone is TAMAZULA!  All the zones are named after the stakes where they are at.  Also the areas are the same with their ward or branch.

Anyway, I'm super jealous that you're all at the beach right now! haha. I hope that you are all having a good time and getting some good boogie boarding in!  Say hi to the beach for me.....I think it misses me.......haha.

Love you all. stay strong, be safe at the beach, and get a good tan!

CHANGES!

WASSSSUPPPP!!!

Hello everyone, I'm super glad to hear from you and know that everything is going so well! I'm guessin that school is already out and everyone is SUPER STOKED!! haha. Mom is already on her "vacation"/ "work" haha.  But that's SO cool that Amy is having another baby!!  That's so wild. CONGRATULATIONS AMY AND NATE!!
Anyway, I'm guessing that you're all wondering about the news of where in the world am I going to be going........!! haha.  We found out the changes yesteday and I......am......going........to.......STAY HERE IN THE OFFICES ANOTHER CHANGE!!!! WHOOOOOO!!!......................................jkjkjkjkjkjjkjkjkjkjkjkjk. haha.  No I'm actually going to be right here in Culiacan again but now in an area called Villa Universidad!   My next companion is named Elder Garcia, and we are the zone leaders of a zona called Tamazula!  I'm way way excited, and a little bit nervous at the same time haha.  I hope that I can learn everything that the Lord wants me to learn and that I can help as many people as I can!  I'm honselty really happy and really humbled also. I'm just really excited to be able to put everything I learned here in the office into practice in our zone, and I feel like if I do, that we are going to be able to see a lot of miracles!  This zone is actually where Elder Ball was zone leader so I'm really excited about that too! haha.  So yeah, that's the big news for this week!

I really love the mission, I'm learning things here that I never in my life thought that I would learn!  The Lord has so much in store for us it's unbelievable, we just have to reach out and grab it.....but sometimes that's the hardest part, is reaching and grabbing!  A lot of times, we just watch other people reach out and grab it and see miracles, and we never do. We need to be the ones to take action and see miracles on a daily basis!  We need to live this life to the fullest, and reach our true potential....the potential that God has for us!  I feel the mission has helped me realize the potential that I actually do have and that we have as children of an Almighty God!!  The coolest part, is that it's INFINITE!!  If we follow the Spirit that has been promised to be given to us if we keep the commandments , we will be guided to our true potential and we will be able to look back and say that we did a good work!!  Love this work fo real.  Love you all fo real!

GETTING A LITTLE ANXIOUS.........

FAMILY!!!

Hey hey hey, so first of all.....I'M SO STOKED FOR TOMORROW!!! haha. I think im more excited than you all are....and I know that you are excited! ha.  I can't believe that it has already been 6 months from the last time I talked to you....that was when I first got in here to the offices! That's so WILD!!!  Time has gone by soo fast it's unbelievable.  but I'm super excited to get back out into the field and put everything I learned here into practice out there in the field EVERY DAY ALL DAY!!!! WHOOOOO!!!  It honestly feels like I'm entering into the MTC again and starting my mission! no joke,  I'm way excited!  I just have NO CLUE where I'm going to be going! haha.  Everyone here in the offices say that I'm going to go the the BAJA, but who knows!  I would like to go there and see what it's like!  They say that the heat there is more like the heat in Arizona.....DRY DRY DRY.....and here it's SUPER humid! haha.  When we walk to the offices in the morning, I'm already sweating when we get here...but thats ok, I love it! haha.  But I  will be leaving this next coming week from the offices. Kinda weird, but exciting.

This week was super good! We got to leave and work every single day so I was super excited about that.  Also, I got to do my first baptismal interview this week....that was way way cool!  It was so much different than thought it was going to be. Being one on one with a person really helps you feel the Lords love for that person, and it's on a way more personal basis which is a super cool feeling!  Also, ABI IS GOING TO BE BAPTIZED IN ABOUT AN HOUR!!! WHOOOO!  So we have to hurry on over there!  So I think I might have to make this letter a little shorter than normal, but that's ok, because I will be talking with you tomorrow!! haha.

I'm happy, really happy!  Sometimes things happen that really bum you out, but we keep working and we always find something that brings sooooo much joy!  I love that feeling, of just being diligent and fighting through the hard things and at the end, finding joy and seeing all of the progression that you have made!  It's a great feeling!

Right now, I gots to get goin...were headed off to the baptism of Abi! PEACE OUT!

CRAZY WEEK!

Hello my family that is partly so far away and other that is so close! haha
YOUR IN MY MISSION RIGHT NOW!!  That's so weird to me!  Just to think that I could be there right now and not be breaking any rules and then just randomly see you guys.....obviously I'm not there, but still, just the thought is super weird! haha.  But I hope that you are enjoying LOS CABOS!  I hear that it's pretty awesome over there, I've seen a bunch of pictures and it looks like a sweet place. but moving past all that.......HAPPY BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK!!!!! whoohooo! SUPER STOKED!  I can't wait to be able to talk to all of you and really wish you a happy birthday!  By the way, before I forget to tell you about the phone call.....we will be calling on the second Sunday of this month which is the 13th. I think I'll call at around 5 oclock in the afternoon, and they are going to give us 1 hour to talk.  So make sure that you don't have any plans for that day at 5!
Anyway, this week was a CRAZY WEEK!  We had to do a bunch of things to get ready for Elder Tenorio and it was just super super hectic!  We didn't get that many opportunities to leave and work in our areas, but when we did, we tried to make the most of it!  We actually had a super cool experience with ABI!  Abi is the person who works for President Cantu and helps him with the kids and everything....she has been here the whole time working around missionaries, but had never talked with them or anything....so Elder Morales and I decided that we were going to talk to her and she accpeted to listen to us!  She has a friend here that is a member and she has been helping her a lot too!  But anyway, we were talking with her about her baptism and how she felt about it, and she said that she had never felt this way in her whole life and that she felt like it was something that she really wanted to do!  We talked about her baptismal date and she chose her own date and everything!  Then we were talking with President and Hna Cantu afterward, and they both were super excited because Abi had surprised them and talked with them about her desire to be baptized and everthing, and now we have a set date for the 12th of May!!  She asked President Cantu to baptize her so I'm super excited about that!!!  It's gonna be super cool, we are gonna plan it out super super well that way it will be a day that she will never forget!  We are all super excited for her, but I think she is more excited than anyone! haha.  And Moramay is still super awesome, we haven't been able to see her a whole lot this week, but we still have her baptismal date for the 11th of this Month!  We are going to have to work with them a whole lot this week so that they will be prepared to enter into the waters of baptism and by so doing, take upon them the name of Christ and recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost! WHOOOO!!!!  Super stoked for this week!  I'm hoping that we won't have too much work here in the offices that way we have more time to leave and work!
Also, the conference with Elder Tenorio was super awesome, he is honestly one of the best teachers I've ever heard in my entire life!  He talked about something that was really interesting to me and I really liked!  He said that with 1) Work 2)Concentration and 3) JOY in what you do.....YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING!!!!  He said that those are the 3 key things in anything that we want to accomplish!  I hope that I will be able to put that into practice and see the fruits and miracles that come through it!  STUUHOKED!!
The package that you sent got here last week but I forgot to tell and to THANK YOU!!!!  I needed those socks super bad!  The shirts are just a tad too big, but there is no problem, I still use them and it looks fine!  But thank you sooo much!  for real.
Well, I hope that by this next week I will be able to send some baptismal pics to you all!  Pray that everything will go good and that the Lord will guide them to the waters of baptism!
I love you with all my heart, every single one of you...I love to hear about the happiness that you have all experienced with me as we live the gospel and see the blessings that come as we do!  We need to keep it up, repenting of our sins every day and applying the blessings of the atonement to our lives each day!  "in this, there is blessings...in this there is peace!"  I love you all!!
